One Pan Chicken and Artichoke Dinner

This just may be the Most Deliciousness You Can Get In One Pan….

Okay so maybe not as delicious as a pan on Wonder bars but really good for a non-chocolate food.

It’s a recipe from my upcoming 21-Day ShredHiit Challenge (this is an online challenge so it doesn’t matter where you live).

It’s SUPER quick. Hands on time is less than 10 minutes. And I really mean 10 minutes. Not how some recipes say 10 minutes but they don’t include all the time you spend cleaning, dicing and prepping the ingredients. This is a true less than 10 minutes flat hands-on time.

Plus it’s one dish to cook and one dish to mix so minimal dishes.

Plus, plus as I mentioned, it’s DELICIOUS!

Tired Of Oatmeal? Try This

I’ve got something new for you to try for your meal prep this week.

I was grabbing a few things at the store the other day and I saw that a major brand has gotten into the overnight oats game.

However, sugar is the 2nd ingredient in all the flavors and if you are looking to get leaner then that is not going to help you get there.

You probably know all about different ways to prepare oatmeal to support your efforts to get lean but if you are tired of oats and are looking for a grain-free, gluten-free alternative then check out buckwheat.

Now buckwheat is actually a seed though we treat it as a grain. Despite the name it is not derived from wheat and is naturally gluten free.

Grilled Lemon Shrimp And Mushrooms Recipe

Happy first day of summer!

Here in Sac summer is coming in on #beastmode with a high of 107.

I don’t know about you but I don’t think anyone has time for using the oven or the stove on a day like this #amiright?!

So today I thought I’d give you this delicious Mushroom and shrimp recipe you can whip up on the grill (hopefully your grill is in the shade!)

Anytime you’re grilling, remember that fresh mushrooms are perfect partners for all sorts of grilling favorites, including beef, seafood and vegetables. In addition to flavor, mushrooms pack a surprising amount of nutrition, contributing to our daily intake of riboflavin, niacin and selenium, with only 20 calories per serving and almost no fat.

If you’re a bread eater you can serve this with warm pita bread or if not, serve over a bed of quinoa.

Is That Salad Making You Fat?

Think fast; when I say diet food what’s the first thing that comes to your mind?

…..maybe bland, tasteless, cardboard…..but aside from that…..salad right? We women love salads when it comes time to think about weight loss.

More often than not though, I find my clients are making one of two mistakes which are both equally detrimental in moving you closer to your weight loss goals:

  1. They are eating salads so loaded with stuff like cheese, bacon, croutons, creamy dressings, nuts and loads of fruit, that they have as many calories as a cheeseburger. None of those ingredients are off limits, but there needs to be a balance.
  2. They are eating salads that are too skimpy. Eating a huge bowl of veggies is great, you should definitely do that. But if ALL you eat is a huge bowl of veggies for lunch, chances are you are going to be quite hungry in an hour or so and if you don’t have another healthy meal around, you could be tempted to check out what is in the breakroom or on the receptionist desk.

Salads can add great variety to your diet you just gotta do it right.
