Bulgarian Butt Lift

Who else loves lower body work as much as I do?

Seriously, especially for us women who in most cases are naturally stronger in our lower half than in our upper body, lower body work is our first chance to feel really strong and powerful in the gym.

Today I have 5 variations of my favorite moves: The Bulgarian Split Squat. It’s also called the rear leg elevated split squat but they’re both mouthfuls so I like option #1.

Plus let’s give credit where credit is due.

This move is a killer booty move and will lift that beautiful thing right on up to where it needs to be.

It’s also a great overall leg shaper.

It challenges your balance (which works core and inner thighs), hip flexibility and ability to push through that lactic acid burn. No joke.

Fast Effective Strength Workout

Maybe your Monday morning didn’t go as planned and you missed your early crack o’dawn workout. Or perhaps things have changed and you are not going to be able to make your normal workout session after work with your favorite trainer.

Well I have you covered.

This is the exact workout that I put one of personal training clients through this morning and she had to admit, it’s tougher than it looks. A trainers favorite words ?

So, before I left the studio I shot a quick video for you to demonstrate the moves and give you some form cues.

All you need is a bench, a chair or a sturdy box.

You can do this at home or carve a space out for yourself in the Monday crowd at the gym.

Don’t Skip Your Workout Today (10 min quickie workout)

It’s late in the day and your schedule has gotten away from you.

You think “I’ll don’t have time to workout today. I’ll get it in tomorrow.”

That’s not true. Even if you are totally pressed for time it’s still important to get a daily session of movement in and I’ve got you covered.

Here is a quick segment from one of the cardio boot camp workouts we do at my Sacramento studio.

One of my favorite things is to go out to the neighborhood park, check out what’s around me and create a workout that focus on working the whole body.
